I’ve always really enjoyed the races organized by Zengő. In Magyarhertelend, we were warmly welcomed, with smooth tarmac, beautiful scenery, and a course full of character waiting for us.
Buruczki Training System is a small team, and I was the only U17 rider from BTS, so I had no teammates to collaborate with during the race. My teammate and friend, Peti Koloszár, was racing in the Elite category. Peti was cheering for me, and I was cheering for him. We warmed up together—that’s all we could do for each other.
The race distance was 62 kilometers, split into two laps of 31 kilometers each. Things were going well, but at the finish, I crossed the line 7 seconds behind the winner, which was enough for 6th place. It could have been better, but I wasn’t too disappointed—I was already thinking about the next race.
